In most of our investment cases there is a sense of urgency, e.g. as a result of financial distress. Based on our deep experience we have the ability to act pragmatically and close a transaction within 4 weeks after initial contact. We quickly deploy our senior team members and leverage our deep industry experience and network. We are challenged by complex situations that need innovative solutions where other investors would give up.

Our involvement starts by determining a value creation plan together with management and all other stakeholders. The plan sets ambitious long-term objectives in combination with short-term goals that vitalize the company. We identify three main phases in the value creation cycle:

Our involvement can start at any point in the value creation cycle. Typically we have non-executive board positions and support management in execution of the value creation plan to enable management to focus on the day-to-day business. In case required we take executive positions for a limited period of time. On average 2 to 3 professionals are dedicated to individual investments during the first turbulent period.
