Kenneth Tjon (1961), founder and Managing Partner,
has over 23 years of experience in strategy development, hands-on value creation and operational management. He has been responsible for sourcing and execution of numerous private equity transactions, M&A transactions, and post M&A implementations. Kenneth has held several senior management and executive board positions in industrial companies. Prior to founding VEP he has been a partner of Arthur D. Little International, responsible for the Dutch Corporate Finance Practice. Kenneth has a Master of Science degree from the Delft University of Technology and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business from the University of Chicago.

Ivo Larsen (1965), founder and Partner,
has over 20 years of experience in strategic management consulting, hands-on value creation and operational management. He has been responsible for sourcing and execution of major M&A transactions and strategic repositioning implementations.. Prior to founding VEP, he has worked with Arthur D. Little in the Strategy and Corporate Finance practices. Ivo has a Master of Science degree from the University of Leiden and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau.

Frits Thieme (1966), founder,
has over 19 years of experience in corporate finance, corporate recovery and hands-on value creation and management. He has been responsible for sourcing and execution of numerous business regeneration and shareholder value recoveries, complex private equity transactions, distressed M&A and post- acquisition/merger implementations. He has a special focus on value creation through real estate redevelopment opportunities. Prior to founding VEP he has been responsible for the Dutch business regeneration activities of Price Waterhouse Amsterdam. Frits has a law degree from the University of Leiden.

Chris de Weers (1971), Partner,
has over 16 years of relevant corporate finance and hands-on corporate recovery experience. He has a focus on financial and operational management, often as part of overall improvement programs. He managed such programs and performance improvement assignments a.o. for a manufacturer of office partition walls, a manufacturer of bicycle parts and an international supplier to the automotive industry. Prior to joining VEP in 2000, he worked as a consultant in the Corporate Finance Practice of Arthur D. Little. Chris has a Master's degree in Financial Management from the University of Amsterdam.

Bob de Lange (1970), Partner,
has over 17 years of relevant corporate finance and hands-on operational improvement experience. He has done projects in the field of M&A and financial restructuring, strategic consultancy, corporate recovery and general implementation management. Amongst others he was responsible for the strategic repositioning of an independent film distributor and an offshore services company and for the the financial and operational restructuring and subsequent sale of a manufacturer of plastic films for industrial and agricultural applications. Prior to joining VEP in 2000, he worked as a consultant for Price Waterhouse Corporate Finance and Arthur D. Little Corporate Finance. Bob has a degree in Business Administration from Nijenrode University.

Ron Elsinghorst (1970), Partner,
has over 17 years of experience in private equity investing, M&A, strategy development and operational management. He has amongst others been responsible for sourcing and executing mid-market management buy-outs and for carrying out complex strategic and operational value creation projects across sectors. Prior to joining VEP in 2008 he has worked as an independent advisor/investor, as a private equity investor for 3i, as a strategy consultant for Arthur D. Little and in operations for Shell. Ron holds a Master’s degree in chemical engineering from Delft University of Technology, an ICID from London’s Imperial College and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau.

Bjørn van Knippenberg (1973), Senior Associate,
has over 13 years of relevant strategic consulting and hands-on operational management experience. He has been active in developing business plans both for operational improvement cases as well as for new business developments. He has hands-on experience in implementing change programs in various companies. Prior to joining VEP in 2002, he worked as a consultant in the Strategy & Organisation practice of Arthur D. Little. Bjørn has a Master's degree in Econometrics from the University of Rotterdam.

Sergio Campisi (1978), Senior Associate,
has over 7 years of experience in strategy consultancy and corporate finance across various industries, in particular FMCG and retail, in Western Europe. He has helped to create value for companies though operational improvement programs, growth strategies, and M&A. Prior to joining VEP in 2010, Sergio has worked as a strategy consultant in the Consumer and Retail practice of Booz & Co, and as a corporate finance analyst for Kempen & Co. Sergio holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Maastricht and an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona.

Bernard Koeleman (1981), Associate,
has over 5 years of corporate finance experience. He has worked on several large scale M&A transactions for financial institutions in the Benelux. Prior to joining VEP in 2009, he was part of the Financial Institutions Group of Lehman Brothers in the Benelux. Bernard holds a cum laude Master’s degree in Applied Physics from Delft University of Technology.

Rikkert Beerekamp (1972), CFO,
has over 11 years of experience in private equity and 4 years additional experience in risk management consulting. Rikkert has joined Value Enhancement Partners as of the start of the new Fund after being involved with the fundraising process as advisor. He will be responsible for all financial and investor relation matters concerning the Fund. Prior to joining VEP in 2008, he has been working 6 years for AlpInvest in the Fund Investment and the Risk and Portfolio Analysis teams. Since 2006, he is working as independent strategic advisor for several private equity funds. Rikkert has a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Groningen.

Jeroen van der Staay (1982), Associate,
has over 5 years of experience in strategy development, hands-on value creation and private equity investing. Prior to joining VEP in 2011, Jeroen has worked as a strategy consultant with both OC&C Strategy Consultants and Plexus. Jeroen also co-founded Capital Care Partners, one of the first Dutch private equity firms fully dedicated to investing in opportunities in the Healthcare sector. Jeroen holds a Master of Science degree in Technology Management from the University of Groningen and a Master of Laws degree in Financial Law from the Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Quirijn van Engelen (1985), Associate,
has over 2 years of corporate finance experience. He has worked on several M&A projects in Western Europe and Scandinavia. Prior to joining VEP in 2012, he has worked as a Corporate Finance advisor with Rembrandt F&O. Quirijn holds a Master of Science degree in Corporate and Financial Management from Lund University, Sweden.
